Knowledge session with international keynote speaker Sarah Bird about Explainable AI

Knowledge session with international keynote speaker Sarah Bird about Explainable AI

On behalf of Info Support we would like to personally invite you to the meetup we organize on 28th of April 2021.

Artificial Intelligence (AI): the applications seem to be limitless. But how do you use this technology responsibly? We cannot afford to say: it is true, because the model says it is … We must be able to explain how a model came to a certain outcome. This is what Explainable AI is all about: AI in which the results of the solution can be understood by humans. It contrasts with the concept of the “black box” in machine learning where even its designers cannot explain why an AI solution arrived at a specific decision.

In this knowledge session, you will learn more about Explainable AI and its broader context of Responsible AI.

Bas Niesink, Data Scientist at Info Support, will introduce the topic to set the scene and to take you along in why this is a very important topic if you want to start applying AI in your organization.

Then our guest speaker, Sarah Bird, Responsible AI Lead Azure Cognitive Services at Microsoft Research, is going to talk about what Microsoft is doing in this area. She will talk about her work on the Machine Learning Interpretability Toolkit and how to change AI black box models into glass box models. Her talk will include best practices, guidance and demonstrations of the latest developments on this topic from Microsoft.

Then Eduard van Valkenburg, Solution Architect at Microsoft in the Netherlands, will talk about the challenges Dutch organizations face when applying AI and need to be able to account for the results of those AI solutions. He will talk about how Microsoft can help these organizations to be accountable applying Microsoft’s latest AI technology.

Willem Meints, Architect, Technology Advocate and Microsoft AI MVP at Info Support, will then conclude the session giving you some recent examples about AI solutions we have been and are building for our customers and how we ensure they are responsible and explainable.
