Stuff that keeps you busy during the holidays...

Unfortunatelly I can’t keep myself busy doing donuts in a nearby parking lot, since the snow that I anticipated these days is not there. I already did plenty of donuts on the game console with the Need for Speed – Most Wanted game that I received from Santa. This game is seriously addictive, but it doesn’t sound like a good idea to start of the new year with some nasty straining injuries. Fortunatelly there is a whole bunch of stuff from Sun and others that is worth your attention if you are stuck like me. The Sun Developer Network features a Mustang Holiday Quiz, and they made up a whole section on migrating to J2SE 5.0, with articles, whitepapers, and presentations. Although I have been using Java 5 at some customers already, still most of our clients are on JDK 1.4.x.  

Other interesting stuff can be found at the JavaPolis wiki, where more and more of the slides are becoming available. In order to download the presentations, you have to sign up to the wiki first. Don’t worry…no strings attached.

Finally, if you didn’t already read it, have a good laugh at some of the latest BileBlog entries. Make sure you read the comments too, as they are sometimes even funnier than the original blog entry. Parental Advisory! There is some explicit lyrics, so don’t say I didn’t warn you! :o)
