One European Cloud
Europe strives for digital sovereignty by becoming less dependent on non-European technologies and working towards a future-proof digital ecosystem. The EU is developing initiatives such as Gaia-X and IPCEI-CIS for this purpose. These projects promote a federated cloud model with open standards and interoperability, aimed at a secure, scalable, and compliant environment that offers freedom of choice and prevents vendor lock-in. With funding and collaboration from member states, research institutes, and companies, IPCEI-CIS plays a key role. Info Support contributes to this through projects such as ECOFED, where we deploy our expertise to develop innovative solutions for Europe’s digital sovereignty.
Europe’s approach and initiatives
Within IPCEI-CIS, projects such as ECOFED and Structura-X play a crucial role. These initiatives promote the development of an integrated cloud and edge ecosystem, built according to Gaia-X standards. Gaia-X facilitates an open and federal ecosystem in which data services and infrastructures operate independently of each other. Structura-X puts this into practice by creating infrastructures that comply with Gaia-X guidelines, supported by technologies such as Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT). Info Support actively contributes to ECOFED and Structura-X. ECOFED focuses on developing a reference architecture that promotes interoperability and paves the way for a secure, federal cloud model within Europe.
Info Support’s role in a sovereign Cloud
As a technology partner, Info Support actively contributes to Europe’s cloud ambitions. ECOFED is an example of this: together with TNO, BIT, AMS-IX, and i3D.net, we are developing a framework that seamlessly integrates cloud services from various providers. This offers flexibility, freedom of choice, and ensures that data remains within Europe, in compliance with GDPR. Our approach strengthens digital sovereignty with innovative technology, scalable infrastructures, and a focus on security and compliance. As a partner of Structura-X and other initiatives, we are building an interoperable, secure, and sustainable European cloud landscape.
More control over the Cloud
Geopolitical resilience in the Cloud
Hyperscalers such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud offer many advantages but also carry risks: data restrictions, unexpected costs, and inaccessibility due to geopolitical tensions. With our cloud risk scan, you gain insight into vulnerabilities and concrete courses of action. You receive a clear report with priorities, measures, and a roadmap to mitigate risks.
Strategic Multi-Cloud Migration
Being locked into a single hyperscaler means high costs, less flexibility, and increasing risks. With a strategic multi-cloud migration, you break through vendor lock-in and safeguard continuity. Info Support helps you migrate business-critical systems in phases to a secure, sovereign multi-cloud environment. This way, you maintain control, meet compliance requirements, and create room for innovation.
Sovereign Cloud migration with guaranteed cost savings
Are you dependent on a single hyperscaler such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud? This often results in rising costs, vendor lock-in, and uncertainty about data location and compliance. By migrating to the sovereign Info Support Cloud, you gain control over costs and certainty about continuity. You benefit from an ISO-certified Dutch cloud platform with at least 20% structural cost savings, full control over your data, and a stable, secure environment.
