TechEd 2006 cancelled

For those who did not see it yet: TechEd 2006 in Amsterdam is cancelled: this event is moved to november and will be called: TechEd ITForum and will be held in Barcelona in the week of 13 november. This will be mainly for ITPro’s, for the developers among us the week preceding IT Forum, TechEd developers will be held also in Barcelona. This week the focus will be primarily on development.

This is a sad thing, (i cannot imagine an employer who will be glad to send someone of for two weeks to barcelona just because he has a job on both sides of the thin line between IT-Pro and Developer) on TechEd these people could enjoy both sides of the line. and as someone on one side of the line I enjoyed sitting in a development session once in a while just to broaden my view. Now I will get thrown in a cage as an IT Pro. I do not want to go to the developer week, it will be too much.

I hope MS will come back on this decision next year.
