All-time low: High, higher, highest
Disclaimer: Do not try this at home. Really, don’t.
Yesterday a new record was set by B.A.S.E. Jumping from the world’s largest building in Dubai.
Now, read the previous sentence carefully again (and read the link to B.A.S.E. Jumping too if you don’t know what it is) and try to find the thing that I do not understand.
As far as I know, the dangerous part of B.A.S.E. Jumping is the fact that you are jumping from a height that is pushing the limits on your chances to open the parachute in time. So the lower the building, the harder it is getting.
When you read the Wikipedia article on B.A.S.E. Jumping you will see that in 1990 Russell Powell jumped INDOORS inside St Pauls Cathedral London. Now that is hard! It seems that jumping from 672 meters in Dubai, although I would not do it myself, is not that hard. But they set a world record… Jumping from the tallest building seems easier to me.
Apparently, when some rich man builds the next tallest building in the world this world record will easily be broken.
