Microsoft Tech-Ed IT Forum

I’m very excited about this years Tech-Ed in Barcelona because for the first time there is actually content for Hosters!
Thanks to Matthews Boettcher from Microsoft. Matthew joined Microsoft in 1999 and spent five years on the corporate Hosting Solutions Unit team. In that time he led the launch of multiple online community programs and resources in support of the Windows-based Hosting solutions, as well as many seminar and workshop activities around the world. In early 2005 Matthew transferred to the Microsoft DPE EMEA HQ team first as a Hosting Evangelist and presently now as a Web Platform Architect Evangelist. Visitors of the Dutch and Belgium Hosting Community Days organized and hosted by Microsoft will recognize him as a presenter of the Website Starters sessions. He now also is a member of the IT-Forum content team and with his roots in Windows Based Hosting it is no surprise to see this resulting in a Virtual Track.
Just a quick outline what you may expect here:

The Microsoft Web platform for Windows-based Hosting services provides the infrastructure for offering the entire range of hosted Internet services, from simple Web sites to the latest generation of Software as a Service applications. Within this platform configuration are several products and technologies, including Windows Server 2003 R2, Active Directory Services, Internet Information Services, SQL Server, Exchange Server, Windows Server Update Services, and the Microsoft Provisioning System. Follow along with this virtual track to learn operational information on each of these hosting infrastructure components.

You can read more here at the IT-Forum web portal. Or start searching for sessions in the virtual track using the Session Search Tool!
And be sure to attend the MPS (Microsoft Provisioning System) session that Matthew is presenting on Wednesday the 15th. The MPS tool is in my honest opinion the core and heart of the hosting solutions from Microsoft, Hosted Messaging and Collaboration and Windows Based Hosting.

I’ll definitely be there so maybe we can share some thoughts 😉
