stable or not

At this very moment I am fighting with my laptop to get it to work properly: I installed Vista build 5456. (the same build I am running on  my desktop.) It seemed stable at my desktop so I decided to convert to Vista all around. laptop and desktop. I wish I hadn’t. My explorer hangs as soon as I try to create a shortcut, or try to edit one. (even trying to view properties of a shortcut mucks up my system)

I am thinking now whether to revert back to XP or revert backc to Beta 2… fun thing is, a colleague of mine has the same type of laptop and he has no problem….

this is plain weird.
