Upgrading my Escrow build to RTM

Those remembering that i once tried to upgrade my RC1 to escrow will know, I had to do a complete reinstall. even though I do not prefer upgrades, I did want to try to see what the drawbacks are. If it works and some more things. Well, to start with: It works, as long as you think that losing all settings of your VM’s in Hyper-V and with that All the snapshots counts as "it works".

It did not warn me, i cannot import them anymore, I have to rebuild the machines with the VHD-files I can recover ( luckily they are still there.) I am curious wether I can force a snapshot to be there by using those files as a starting point (I’ll keep you posted about this).

for the rest some services (related to me using it as a desktop workstation) reverted back to their initial install state: windows Audio and the themes service, I can live with that.

Something changed the applicationhost.config as well, so my virtual server setup is not working as well. I did a change to the virtual server setup, did not change anything, but it did the trick: repair my setup up to the point that I can see my machines again, but no virtual networks (yet). So I had to do a reinstall of virtual server 2005 R2 SP1…

I also had top reinstall mobile device center, for the rest I have nothing that does not work on my desktop. While I am writing this, I am also upgrading my laptop, so there are a few apps I have on my laptop that are not on my desktop. if there is something with those, I’ll post that here.
